First computer prediction of radiated fields of modern antennas for Earth and air/space communication systems and radars
A novel universal model for wide class of reflector or hybrid antennas with second-order curve profiles and any possible mirror edge form is presented. Both symmetrical and offset geometry is available. For hybrid antennas their feed array may have up to a few hundred independently placed and excited elements. The constructed model has been realized in two program packages: AntMaster and FARFOR for IBM-compatible personal computers. The model provides more than just a reduction in the computation effort, so that users of the program packages can easily analyze and synthesize multielement arrays, reflector and hybrid antennas practically in a real-time mode.
