Fault location in HTB Lines using Digital Relays Localisation des Défauts dans les Lignes HTB en Utilisant les Relais Numériques
This paper presents a simulation tool and the application of fault location algorithms in transmission lines for the development of modern digital relays. The developed tool executes the entire simulation process with the fault location algorithm in a single step. A MATLAB simulation is performed on a model of a 400 kV line powered from both ends. The techniques used in this paper are the Takagi method and the imaginary at the fundamental frequency of voltage and current signals at one end of the line.
