Possibilities of Telemedicine Technologies in the Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of Olfactory Disorders in COVID-19
In connection with the pandemic COVID-19, which broke out in December 2019, specialists were faced with tasks related to both rapid diagnosis of infection and the provision of specialized medical care, and subsequent rehabilitation of post-COVID syndrome. The disease caused by COVID-19 infection is special because it can persist for a long time as symptoms of anosmia and hyposmia without impaired nasal breathing and nasal obstruction. Therefore, the lack of objectivity of methods for studying olfactory function has set us the task of studying the features of diagnosis and rehabilitation of olfactory disorders in COVID-19 using telemedicine technologies.
