RF transceivers for wireless in standard CMOS: some perspectives
This paper reviews some of the key challenges in implementing highly integrated RF transceivers in CMOS for cellular platforms, and discusses some architectures and building blocks, in the context of CMOS technology evolution. Some examples of commercial implementations are given. Finally, some perspectives on future directions in CMOS RF integration for multiband multimode applications will be presented.
