The submitted paper deals with the verification of new technology of train management on specific rail route of using simulation model. In the introductory part the solved issue is describe and represents cycles of locomotives involved on transportation within the national rail network. In the next part selected simulation software is presented, which is used to handle the issue. Furthermore the input data are presented here, which are necessary for compilation of the simulation model. The next chapter describes the creation of the model for a particular case from practice. In the final part an evaluation conducted of simulation experiments is done and some possibilities are described for further extension of the models.
