The author analyzed the total number of dissertations, the number of various dissertation councils, participation of various schools in preparing dissertations, the distribution of dissertations according to areas within the specialty 12.00.13, the number and content of «information-oriented» dissertations on other specialties in the period from the beginning of 1995 to December 2020.
