One of the materials related to the exposition text is found in the syllabus of the Indonesian language subject for class VIII, in learning media is needed that is able to arouse students' enthusiasm. The problem studied in this study is how the influence of youtube media in learning to write student exposition texts. This study aims to determine the effect of youtube media in learning to write exposition texts for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. The use of youtube media is expected to make it easier for students to understand the material and be able to write exposition texts. This research is a quantitative experiment. With one group pre-test and post-test design. The researcher used random sampling technique in determining the sample so that class VIII-10 students became the sample in this study. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. The technique of collecting data in this study used an exposition text writing test. Data on students' exposition text writing activities in the study were obtained through pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the average score of students before using the youtube learning media (pre-test) is categorized with a value of 41.1 and the average value after using the youtube learning model (post-test) is categorized as good with a value of 73,06, then the results of the average value of the pre-test and post-test can be seen that there is a difference in the average value before (pre-test) and after using youtube learning media on the ability to write exposition texts for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test data analysis, it was obtained tcount (16,732) , then compared tcount with ttable with degrees of freedom N-1 = 29 with the number of N=30 and the significant level = 0.05, it was obtained ttablel =1, 699. So, tcount (16,732) > ttable (1, 699) which means that there is a difference in the average value before using youtube learning media and after using youtube learning media. Thus Ho is rejected. 学习写作需要学生尽早掌握,尤其是在2013年以文本为基础的课程中。在八年级的印尼语课程大纲中,有一份与论述文本相关的材料,在学习中需要一种能够激发学生积极性的媒介。本研究研究的问题是youtube媒体如何影响学生讲解性课文的学习。本研究旨在确定youtube媒体对SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar七年级学生学习撰写说明文的影响。使用youtube媒体可以让学生更容易地理解材料,并能够写出论述文本。这项研究是一项定量实验。采用一组前测和后测设计。研究者在确定样本时采用了随机抽样的方法,将VIII-10班的学生作为本研究的样本。这项研究是在Pematangsiantar SMP Negeri 2进行的。本研究的数据收集方法采用说明文写作测试。本研究通过前测和后测获得学生说明文写作活动的数据。从数据分析的结果可以看出,学生在使用youtube学习媒体(前测)之前的平均成绩为41.1,使用youtube学习模型(后测)之后的平均成绩为良好,为73,06。那么通过前测和后测的平均值结果可以看出,SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar八班学生在使用youtube学习媒体前(前测)和使用youtube学习媒体后的平均值在论述文本写作能力上存在差异。根据前测和后测数据分析结果,得到tcount(16,732),然后将tcount与自由度N-1 = 29, N=30个数,显著性水平= 0.05的表比较,得到tablel = 1,699。因此,tcount (16,732) > table(1,699),这意味着使用youtube学习媒体前的平均值与使用youtube学习媒体后的平均值存在差异。因此何被拒绝了。Ho被拒绝后,Ha被接受,这意味着SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar VIII班学生使用youtube学习媒体撰写说明性文本的技能有显著差异。
