However, the facts that numerous users from this category become lurkers can be a huge burden for the community. The threat of unanswered questions, negative feedbacks, and deleted questions create a massive discouraging impact for the Stack Overflow, and therefore, raising a question about the health of this community - persistently intimidate new users may lead this giant community to the shrinking phase.
