Experimental and Computational Acoustic Analysis of the Pressure Distribution Inside a Mechanical Resonator Used for Implantable Medical Devices
This paper aims to examine the pressure distribution inside a quarter wavelength resonator tube with the aid of acoustic energy harvesting techniques. The dominant application for this study encompasses medical devices in-vivo. Eigen frequencies and Eigen modes are to be taken into consideration and accordingly, the tube dimensions will be designed in order to achieve resonance where the optimum efficiency can be reached. Examining the pressure distribution is to be carried out using experimental acoustics analysis and computational analysis. A sensor is used in the experimental analysis in order to sense the maximum pressure in each location along the circular and rectangular cross-sectional tubes.
