Study of techniques associated with various Visual Speech Recognition Systems, which are developed till now, is done in this paper. Results associated with lip feature extraction techniques, employed in these systems, are analyzed. On the basis of analysis, it is found, that accuracy of Lip Geometry Estimation and Image Based Raw Information Techniques are 91% and 92-93% respectively. 摘要

随着科技的进步,自动读唇系统一直是各种安全与安保系统的需求。此外,在嘈杂的条件下,它对听力受损的听众起着非常重要的作用。本文对目前发展起来的各种视觉语音识别系统的相关技术进行了研究。分析了在这些系统中使用的唇特征提取技术的相关结果。分析发现,唇形几何估计和基于图像的原始信息技术的精度分别为91%和92-93%。因此,平均而言,这些技术为唇部特征提取提供了最好的结果。
