Nowadays, we notice a high trend of mobile devices usage whether on a professional or daily basis. Hence, the security of the exchanged and saved data in our smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. is a leading case for both user and producer. As the majority of SMS encryption applications use standard cryptographic algorithms, they fall victims, then, of cryptanalysis and classical attacks. In this context, this paper sheds light on the development of a new SMS encryption algorithm. The proposed scheme is based on a hyper chaotic system. It offers high security with a good encryption/decryption time on a mobile device.
