The needs of teacher and student can be known by interviewe and observation. The content of the book in elementary school is good but some material is not child friendly and makes misconception for the student. The content of the book was giving effect for the student. Misconception influenced self-actualization of students. It is important to answer the needs of teacher and student in learning. The teacher said that needed media for improving self-actualization student through lift the flapstory book based on child friendly. Children are entitled to develop according to physic and mental development. Level of human need is different. The human need is self-actualization. Self-actualization in learning can be enhanced through learning media. One of learning media is lift the flap story book based on child friendly. This study aimed to determine the needs of teachers to the lift the flapstory book based on child friendly. This research used survey research conducted on fourth grade students of elementary school who were 100 students.
