Scientific language is commonly used a form of language which is closely related with writing rather than speaking. In particular, scientific language is used in academic articles. Despite this, scientific language is included some differences for each scientific field. Determining these differences highly important to right usage of academic writing language. For this reason, in this study, it was aimed to investigate the scientific language of academic manuscripts in the fields of social and physical sciences. For this purpose, a total of 10 manuscripts (5 social sciences + 5 physical sciences) were selected randomly belonging to the last volume of several journals of Ankara University. The journals were consisted of Political Sciences, Revolution history, Turkish Language, Educational Sciences, Theology, Veterinary, Engineering, Agriculture and sport sciences. Scientific language of social and physical sciences was examined as comparative in terms of conjunctions, tenses, active and passive voices and terms.
