The CHWG-Information and Communication Protection Network (ICPN) is proposed by analyzing the demand of communication technology for CHWG and modern power grid information technology. The overall functional architecture of ICPN was built, and key technologies are presented. Finally, a specific CHWG-ICPN system was built in the coordinated hydro and wind power generation scheduling system. The data sharing, delay and security defense function of the system are introduced. The system provides a technical support for the needs of global energy internet strategy.
