Compared with traditional folded dipole antenna, an additional bowknot-type resonator is introduced into folded dipole antenna. The bowknot-type resonator generates an additional new resonant mode. The simulation results show: (1) The Band-I with a center frequency of 2GHz has an impedance of -10dB with operating frequency range varying form 1.62GHz to 2.64GHz and The Band-II with a center frequency of 4.95GHz has an impedance of -10dB with operating frequency range varying form 4.63GHz to 5.22GH, (2) 70°± 5° half-power beamwidth for the low frequency bands in the horizontal plane, (3) the maximum and minimum gain are 5.1 dBi (at 2.0 GHz) and 3.8 dBi (at 2.64 GHz) in 1.90-2.64 GHz band, and the gain is 5 dBi at 4.95 GHz (4.63 to 5.22 GHz band).
