Interleaving based resource allocation algorithms for Multi Gigabit Wireless OFDM systems
This paper presents an original OFDMA-like technique intended to improve diversity propagation in the resource allocation procedure compliant with OFDMA and OFDM-TDMA schemes. The proposed technique combines sub-carrier interleaving process to sub-canalization in order to optimize interleaving spreading and introduce interleaving diversity in the OFDM(A) sub-channel allocation. The algorithm denoted Interleaving based Resource Allocation (IRA), efficiently improves link level performance in the WPAN context copying with high propagation correlation levels. IRA is applied here to 60 GHz Multi-Gigabit Wireless Systems (MGWS) and plan to be evaluated on IEEE802.11 ad draft standard.
