This may seem strange at first sight, however, when taking a closer look we can find the links between them. When Richard Rorty first writes Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature, he was not just establishing a justification for pragmatism and/or for the foundations of a new epistemology; in fact, Rorty was creating the foundations of thinking about the role of humanities in the construction of modern man.
