Methods: This study conducted an online survey of 160 university students from Daegu, Gyeongnam, and Seoul, from August to October, 2020. Results: The image recognition of dental hygienists was the highest at 4.28±0.77 for 'dental hygienists respond in a friendly', the lowest at 3.21±0.93 for 'Do you think dental hygienists have high social status'. The general factor affecting satisfaction with the professional image of dental hygienists was gender(p=0.044), the dental-related characteristic factor was oral health education experience(p=0.010).
