The data speed is limited in Mobile applications as the bandwidth available is a limited resource. The demand for video streaming is expected to grow in multi folds in future and speed is a critical issue in video streaming. Techniques that reduce the video bit rate are the best way to have a smooth video streaming for a given bandwidth. The mobile equipment screen displays are usually small in size, this size can hence be exploited to have a certain level of compromise with video resolution and by deploying good video compression techniques, the bit rate can be reduced to suit the mobile based applications.
