The influence of linear birefringence on the polarization properties of uniform fiber gratings
Due to the linear birefringence, the fibre length, input SOP and birefringence values have influence on the polarization properties of FBG. The relationship between the first stokes parameter and polarization dependent loss is discussed. Simulations are realized based on coupled mode theory.
