The test results revealed that thermal cycling creep with short overheating duration will offset alloys’ thermal equilibrium state. The decrease on creep resistance of materials suffering thermal cycling creep is analyzed from a microstructure perspective. A phenomenological relationship between overheating number and microstructure evolution has been revealed.
