In this paper, a C-band power amplifier with an output power of 40dBm and a bandwidth of 640MHz is presented. The power amplifier is mainly composed of RF part and power-supply module. In order to meet the output power requirements, a two-stage cascaded structure by GaAs transistors is adopted. The overall size of the designed power amplifier is about 175mm$\\times120mm\\times$24mm and the power consumption is less than 17W (20% duty cycle).
