A Lavatory Space Designed for a User-friendly Experience and Sterile Condition
This paper introduces a room in a lavatory space with Ultraviolet-C radiation to maintain a sterile environment. Usually, the cleaning and disinfection of a lavatory room is performed by the staff, and users are unaware of which room is in a better condition if there is more than one room available in a lavatory space. In the study, a more efficient disinfection process is used and a display is installed on the door to inform users about the state of the room. With the proposed design, users could have a friendlier experience and each room in the lavatory space might be used more evenly. Furthermore, it could save much time to manage public lavatories if the state of a room updated with real-time detection could be read in the cloud.
