Design: Literature review of articles pertaining to uterine myomas. Result(s): Many advances have been made in the management of uterine myomas. Watchful waiting; Medical therapy; Minimal invasive techniques like uterine artery embolization or occlusion; and focused ultrasound are now available. Apart from that hysteroscopic, laparoscopic or abdominal myomectomy; abdominal, vaginal, and laparoscopic hysterectomy can be performed. Conclusion: Management of uterine myomas involves a basket of diagnostic and treatment approaches.
