High-power pulsed operation of the NH3 laser on transitions between 100 and 300μm
An NH3 laser pumped by a single mode, etalontuned TEA CO2 laser was optimized for operation on the 257 and 281μm transitions at power levels of 430 and 160 kW in 0.8μs pulses, respectively. Also, we report the first observation of 140 GHz laser action in NH3 at power levels up to 8 kW.
