A special test target printed on standard color positive film is scanned by the television camera under test. The signals at the outputs of the usual red, green and blue amplifier channels of the camera, resulting from scanning three separate color wedges are compared with the signals obtained at the same outputs from scanning a neutral-density step wedge.
