Educational gamified language-learning platform ‘Duolingo’ is chosen as a testbed, whereas game refinement measure is employed as an assessment tool. Two game elements ‘Badge’ and ‘Winning Streak’ with respect to the course structure of three language courses in Duolingo are analyzed in this study. The results from the analysis with about 1000 users show that Winning Streak successfully helps users enhance their regular learning activity into serious gaming activity. Moreover, Winning Streak increases the motivation of advanced users when the attractiveness of Badge decreases. 摘要

本文探讨了一种评估游戏元素在教育领域影响的方法。选择教育游戏化语言学习平台“多邻国”作为测试平台,采用游戏细化措施作为评估工具。本研究分析了“徽章”和“连胜”两个游戏元素与多邻国三门语言课程结构的关系。对约1000名用户的分析结果表明,连胜成功地帮助用户将日常学习活动提升为严肃的游戏活动。此外,当徽章的吸引力降低时,连胜会增加高级用户的动机。因此,本研究证实了游戏细化措施的有效性,以确定适当划分学习过程的优点,以保持学习活动的吸引力。
