Based on the results of the analysis, the structure of the hardware system is presented. In accordance with the state machine of the Profibus-DP system, the workflow of the software running on the DP master and DP slave is described. In addition, a design scheme on how to develop intelligent slaves based on Profibus-DP is put forward.
