It is a cost-effective and reliable solution for continuous monitoring of the present status of a transformer using the recent advancements of GSM and Embedded System technology. In the present investigation, condition monitoring system of a transformer has been designed using GSM technology, to know the present status of the transformer through SMS, even when personnel is away from the control room of the substation.
