The one reason about that the activity to WPT from NIT college student is high is that WPT is attractive for them. Almost students who choose machine or electric course like to make miniature car or train that can run by WPT or to light LED without battery. They design them using 3D-CAD and make it using milling machine for PCB, 3 D-printer and laser beam machine. Although we cannot see electromagnetic wave, LED lights by WPT. Therefor we can expect to use WPT for electromagnetic wave education to understand Ampere's circuital law or Lenz's law.
