Compressors are used in performing efficient multiplication operations. In this paper, a new 5:3 compressor is designed through a hybrid architecture combined of Benzene rings and CNT transistors in which each P-type transistor is a benzene ring FET and each N-type transistor is a CNFET. The results, compared with a purely CNFET compressor cell, show reduction in power and energy consumption in this new design.
