Compared with DTMB standard, DTMB-A has higher spectrum efficiency, stronger robustness and more flexible system parameter combinations. In August 2019, at the invitation of Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), Tsinghua University organized the field trials to evaluate the coverage effect of DTMB-A in Hong Kong. By setting up the single frequency network (SFN) with 3 transmitting stations, 4K UHDTV program can be transmitted by DTMB-A effectively.
