Combined Active Frequency Drift Islanding Detection Method for NZEB Energy Router
Nearly zero energy buildings (NZEB) require energy production, storage and management that can be realized through a multiport power electronic interface also known as an energy router (ER). As the ER can inject energy to the grid, it must have an integrated anti-islanding method (according to IEEE1547.1). This paper gives a short overview of the islanding detection methods. Recent trends and methods will be analyzed and explained. As a result, a suitable anti-islanding strategy for an ER will be developed that complies with all reliability and power quality requirements of the NZEB. The proposed anti-islanding method was analyzed and verified by the computer simulations.
