Insufficient elaboration of innovative development management mechanisms is shown, a mismatch between the processes of its strategic planning and implementation mechanisms is revealed. The characteristics of the management system that are critical for the successful implementation of innovative development strategies have been identified. It is shown that the existing practices of state strategizing of innovative development do not fully take into account its features as an object of management.
