The conventional solution is to use smoothing algorithm, but recently a new technique is proposed, which reconstructs the spatial covariance matrix in Toeplitz pattern and no longer be affected by coherency. In this paper, an improved algorithm based the new technique is proposed, which can reduce the computational burden. Finally, a 2-D coherent DOA estimation method using 3-aixs crossed array is suggested.
