There is a thin line between patriotism and nationalism, that people don't seem to understand. The key question is at what point patriotism becomes nationalism. Because the line is so thin, that nationalism is often synonymous for patriotism. There is nothing wrong with being proud of your country, but sometimes you get into a situation, where you constantly defend it even when what you have done is clearly wrong, so we can say, that patriotism becomes nationalism when you are proud of your country, no matter what it does.
