PERCENTUAL DE SOLVENTE POLAR NA GASOLINA COMUM EM UM MUNICÍPIO DO CENTRO SUL DO ESTADO DO PIAUÍ
The adulteration of fuels is a worrying and widespread case throughout the national territory, leading the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) to intensify efforts to curb this illicit action. The use of adulterated fuel has several consequences, the first to be noticed, mainly by consumers, is the functional damage caused to the vehicle. Using solvents causes damage to the entire automotive power system and also causes irreparable damage to the electric fuel pump engine. The amount of ethanol (ethyl alcohol) in regular gasoline in addition to changing the energy release for the operation of car engines can also influence the price of fuel, since by relating the same amount of ethanol and regular gasoline, the second has a commercial price. well above the first. The research was carried out with samples of different gasoline collections at two gas stations, in order to avoid collecting the same gasoline samples. The gasoline samples were taken every other week with sterile bottles and taken directly to the laboratory of the Federal Institute of Education. and technology of Piauí-Campus Picos, the analyzes were made with a test called “test tube”. Overall, all samples collected and researched at both stations show that they are being marketed with adulterated regular gasoline. With values different from the 27% (+ -1) required by the ANP. With greater adulteration for Rank 1, which in none of the research had the value close to the recommended. The results also point to the need for further studies in the research line, to further clarify the relationship between solvents used in ordinary gasoline.
