The analysis adopted the aesthetics elements principles of carving motifs approach, which was introduced in Malay Aesthetics by Ali. [1]. Three of the six principles are used to analyse the aesthetic elements of the carvings. Qualitative methods are employed to further the study, which was using (1) archival method through analysis of photo documentation of Sukor Rahim’s works and next was (2) probing the carvings using Malay Aesthetics approach to measure the aesthetic elements of the selected works.
