A prototype machine developed for this research produced the fibers for the study. Parameters investigated include: volume fraction of the fibers; fiber equivalent aspect ratio; and the compressive strength of the mortar matrix. The high performance fiber reinforced cement composites exhibiting strain hardening and multiple cracking behaviors can be obtained with a proper combination of the parameters.
