Demonstration of integrated mid-IR Kerr frequency combs
We report on generation of Kerr frequency combs centered at 4.55μm in high quality factor (Q) CaF2 whispering gallery mode (WGM) resonators pumped with quantum cascade lasers. A broad frequency comb is demonstrated when several mW of pumping light are coupled to a CaF2 WGM resonator characterized with Q > 107.
