The economy of the Russian Federation has been functioning under the enormous impact of economic restrictions over the past few years. In the current conditions, the issue of the use of various means and mechanisms capable of leveling the negative effects of sanctions pressure on the national economy is relevant. The purpose of the article is presentation possible options for the use of digital currencies and crypto assets in order to overcome the consequences of sanctions measures. Special attention is paid to the development of Russian legislation and government control in the sphere of crypto assets. In addition, the article describes examples of the usage of digital currencies and crypto assets in other countries.
