报道了日本冲绳岛恙螨科一新种(蜱螨亚纲:恙螨亚纲)。Fenestrella属有两种来自亚洲,分别是1987年在越南发现的F. bifurcata Mahunka和1994年在中国发现的F. sinica Zhao and Wen。该新种是该属的第三种,其与已知的两种的区别在于它的后半部分的链具有特殊的环状结构。
