Sectoral Formation Features of The Utilities’ Plant Assets Management Systems
This paper analyzes the industry-specific features of the formation of plant assets management systems for national and foreign electric power enterprises. In particular, the impact of the production process continuity, the technological and economic synergies between the industry production units, the territorial disunity in the electric power production and sale, as well as the synergies between electric power production and consumption, have been also analyzed. Besides the paper assessed and presented the experience of implementing assets management systems at national and foreign enterprises from various areas of the fuel and energy complex as well as the main software products on the Russian and foreign markets, their impact on both business processes in energy companies and maintenance and repair arrangements for electric power equipment, have been considered. The main tasks in the plant assets management systems implementation are to find a balance between the power system reliability and the costs for its maintenance and development.
