Multiple resonances of the combination offer wide bandwidth over the complete X - band. A U-shaped microstrip feed is also incorporated in the proposed structure. The proposed design offers large impedance bandwidth (measured) about 45 % (S11 < −10 dB) and a peak gain of about 4.5 dBi.
