The syngas production from the gasification of rice husk can also be supplied to the dual-fuel diesel engine, saving oil consumption. The operating conditions are key contributions to obtain the high syngas qualification and high ratio of the replaceable syngas fuel in the diesel-syngas engine. This paper presents the effect of air velocity (from 2.0 to 8.0 cm/s), bulk density (from 92.31 to 122.55 kg/m3), and moisture of rice husk (from 4.0 to 13.0 %) on the replaceable diesel oil ratio and power capacity of the dual-fuel diesel engine RV-125N, using the downdraft gasifier. The obtained results indicate that at the moisture of 4.3 % of rice husk, the bulk density of 101.86 kg/m3, and the air velocity of 6.0 cm/s, the power capacity can reach 1.41 kW and the replaceable diesel oil ratio was over 60 %.
