Linear stability charts and bifurcation diagrams are constructed to identify the parameter ranges, where large amplitude vibration can occur. The domains of the snaking and the rocking motion are detected. Numerical simulations verify the existence of periodic solutions predicted by numerical bifurcation analysis.
