Some of the techniques employed to provide this control are: the extensive use of lead shielding, extra thick steel reinforced concrete walls, and corridor design utilizing short hallways with numerous zigzags, all of which also not being conducive to the propagation of radio-frequency energy. The purpose of this paper is to describe a highly successful and reliable method of providing UHF radio cummunications throughout several radio-frequency isolated buildings. The system to be described will rely on slotted line transmission lines, multiple antennas and full duplex in-line RF power amplifiers.
