When introducing new technologies, acceptance has a decisive role for successful implementation. Past literature shows promising models to describe the acceptance as well as the use of new technologies with the help of different influencing factors. However, the example of public administrative staff has shown that existing models are inadequate and need to be extended. Against this background, we present four established models (TAM, TAM2, IS Success Model, Status Quo Bias) that depict the relationship between various factors of the acceptance and usage of new technologies in public administrations. By doing so, this paper aims to strengthen the common understanding of technology acceptance by public administrations staff.
