In this paper, multi-carrier modulations (MCMs) are employed in two-phase cascaded H-bridge MLI (CHB-MLI) with the major difference being that, in addition to the same modulation, non-identical modulations are also used. Furthermore, a new proposed modulation (PM) has been presented and it employed with conventional MCM technique in two-phase CHB-MLI; finally, the optimal dual MCM is selected in terms of the best THD of output line voltage under balanced and unbalanced input sources, the least output voltage drops under input sources variations, and the lowest DC capacitor.
