Each node operates not only as an end system, but also as a router to forward packets. In this paper mainly focused on MAC layer because this layer is most important for data communication to control the packet loss and error, we analyze MAC layer 802.16 and 802.11 networks using Ad hoc on-demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol under MANET by varying pause time and maximum speed. These simulations are carried out using the Network simulator version-2.
